Flat evacuated after Dundee fire

A flat in Clepington Road was evacuated after a fire took hold in one of its rooms on Wednesday night.

Three appliances attended the upper-floor flat after reports of the blaze at 7.31pm.

A four-man crew entered to extinguish the small blaze with breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, and one hose reel.

A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and rescue Service said: “The occupants were not in danger and had evacuated before appliances arrived.”

The flat was made safe and crews stood down at 8.17pm.
