Police are searching for a man after he crashed a van in the Menzieshill area of Dundee and fled the scene.
Officers were called to Arran Drive at around 7.30pm on Saturday to reports of a single crash involving a van.
Police cars attended but found the driver had left the scene upon arrival.
‘The person got out, locked it and left’
One woman who did not wish to be named said she witnessed the crash and watched the male driver walk off.
She said: “It happened just before 8pm.
“The vehicle was on Arran Drive near the junction with Charleston Drive.
“It smashed into a railing and the person got out, locked it and left.
“They walked off in the direction of Yarrow Terrace.
“A short while later, there were four police cars in attendance.

“It seemed a lot of police and there was a fifth car searching around the Yarrow Terrace area.
“The police presence quickly dispersed though and the vehicle was towed away at around 8.30pm.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a single van on Arran Drive in Dundee around 7.30pm on Saturday, 21 January.
“The driver left the scene prior to officers arriving.
“The area was searched and enquiries remain ongoing.”
