A man has been injured and a huge police presence spotted at a Dundee multi after a “disturbance”.
Several police vehicles and officers wearing riot gear were spotted parked outside Burnside Court in Lochee on Thursday morning.
It followed an incident at the nearby Elders Court multi a short distance away.
One bystander said four police vehicles were parked up at Burnside Court initially before a stream of further vehicles arrived.
One man who lives in Burnside Court said he saw several people being led away by officers.
He said: “There were police running around the multi at one point.
“After the riot cops left the scene there was four people in handcuffs led away.”
A 36-year-old woman who did not wish to be named said she became aware of a police presence at around 8am.
She said: “The police were putting a door in.
“There were sniffer dogs outside searching the surrounding streets.
“I saw the riot officers with their shields entering the block as well.”
One man who lived nearby said a majority of the police left the scene shortly before midday.
He said: “It had been going on for hours and shortly before 10am another load of police arrived on the scene.
“There was also paramedics in attendance.
“It appeared CID officers were liaising with uniformed colleagues after four men were detained.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance in the Elders Court area of Dundee shortly after 7.45am on Thursday.
“A 41-year-old man has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.
“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
