Image: Poppy Watson/DC Thomson A police investigation is under way after a man was found injured on a Dundee street. The 34-year-old was discovered at around 1.45am on Thursday on Balmerino Place in Douglas. He was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. The nature of his injuries has not been confirmed. Locals say several areas were cordoned off as police conducted a search, including in a car park opposite Douglas Medical Centre and a phone box. One resident, who asked not to be named, said her husband had seen police in the area earlier in the morning. She said: “He told me there were police around here earlier and they had cordoned off the car park. “I don’t know what happened but it’s all cleared up now.” A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 1.45am on Thursday a 34-year-old man was found injured on Balmerino Place, Dundee. “He was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment and inquiries are ongoing.”
