A man in fancy dress has been seriously assaulted on a Dundee street.
The 24-year-old and his friends were in costumes and walking near Hope Church, on Brown Street, when four men got out of a small white car and assaulted him.
He suffered a head injury and required medical treatment at hospital, while his friends suffered minor injuries as a result of the altercation.
The incident occurred on Saturday 22 April at 3.30am.
Police are now appealing for information in relation to the assault.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are keen to trace the men – one is described as early 20s, about five feet nine inches tall, white, blonde hair or shaved head, wearing a dark T shirt.
“The second man is described as early 20s, five foot six inches tall, white, wearing a grey long sleeved top and dark blue jeans.
“The third man is described early 20s, five foot three inches tall, white, with black hair and wearing a white polo neck and jeans.
“The fourth man is described as early 20s, black, long dark hair, dark colour top and jeans, with beanie hat – he spoke with an English accent.”
Officers are carrying out a review of CCTV.
The men took off in the car up Guthrie Street.
