Police and paramedics were called to a Dundee street after a man was assaulted.
Locals reported seeing up to eight police vehicles and an ambulance on Craigowan Road in Charleston on Wednesday afternoon.
Shoppers using the nearby Charleston Convenience Store said CID officers were at the incident.
The Courier understands police are investigating whether a knife was used during the disturbance.
One resident said: “The ambulance arrived first then more and more police began arriving.
“At its peak there were at least eight police vehicles here alongside CID officers in an unmarked car.
“There is always something going on here – it was hardly surprising to see the police arriving.
“Police went into the local shop as well for a period of time and another police vehicle went along Invercraig Place.”
One local resident said police appeared to be focusing their attentions around two blocks on the street.
He said: “There were three or four uniformed officers at the two blocks nearest the junction with South Road.
“Officers were going in and out of both blocks for a period of time.
“I saw a police vehicle circling the wider area maybe just after 1pm as well.
“The police presence began to die down as the afternoon went on.”
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “At around 12.30pm police were called to Craigowan Road, Dundee following reports a man had been assaulted.
