For residents of Maryfield it was a definite case of the more things change, the more they stay the same.
The ward returned two SNP councillors and one Labour councillor, just as it did five years ago.
Ken Lynn was elected on the first round of counting for the SNP after securing 1,240 first preference votes.
Labour’s Georgia Cruikshank and the SNP’s Lynne Short were elected after five rounds of counting.
Ms Short originally won her seat in a by-election following the resignation of Craig Melville and said: “This is my first election as I was elected at a by-election.
“Hopefully it means people think I’m doing a good job.”
