The East End has a new councillor, but only because Labour’s Lesley Brennan decided to stand down.
Will Dawson and Christine Roberts were both returned for the SNP while Margaret Mary Richardson retained Ms Brennan’s seat for Labour.
Mr Dawson said: “It’s been a really good campaign for us in the East End but there is more work to do.
“There is still a lot to address and we need the next five years to make things better and ensure Dundee continues to flourish.”
