A reception for more than 100 invited guests was held to mark the refurbishment of the DC Thomson building in the centre of Dundee last night.
The guests heard speeches from the company’s chairman Andrew Thomson, director and chief operating officer David Thomson and executive chairman of publishing Ellis Watson at the event in the Meadowside building.
They were then offered a tour of the offices, including The Vista Room which has stunning views over the city.
Musical entertainment was provided by pupils of Dundee High School.
David Thomson said: “It’s fantastic to be back in the heart of Dundee where we belong, in the centre of a city with such an exciting future.”
Over the past few weeks hundreds of staff have decanted from the company’s offices at Kingsway.
More than 600 employees who work in newspapers, magazines and digital media across the DC Thomson group of companies are based in the open plan offices.
