A man has been charged with two robberies and an assault at a Dundee multi.
Police were called to Elders Court on Thursday and Friday afternoon in connection with the incidents.
Officers arrested a man and a woman – aged 51 and 55 respectively – following reports of a robbery and assault just before 5pm on Thursday.
It’s alleged the same man was then involved in another robbery the following day.
One local who did not wish to be named reported seeing several police units in the Lochee area on Friday.
‘Officers were here for hours’
He said: “Police were positioned at both entrances into the Elders Court multi.
“Officers were here for hours, I saw a male being led away in handcuffs.
“This block can be a wee bit chaotic at times but I was shocked to hear what’s reportedly happened.
“Especially two incidents in such a short space of time.
“After the man was taken away there was still one police unit here as part of their inquiries.”
Police Scotland confirmed a man is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday in relation to both incidents.
A 55-year-old woman is also anticipated to attend in connection with with the incident on Thursday.

A spokeswoman said: “Around 4.40pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023, we were called to a report of a robbery and assault in the area of Elder Court, Dundee.
“A 51-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, 20 March.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
She added: “Around 1.25pm on Friday, March 17, 2023, we were called to a report of a robbery in the area of Elders Court, Dundee.
“A 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this incident and he is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, March 20.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
