Police are investigating a serious assault on a Dundee street which left a man hospitalised.
The attack took place on the city’s Dundonald Street on Wednesday at 3.45pm.
The force said they are following a “positive line of inquiry” into the incident, however they could not confirm if a weapon was used.
A 23-year-old man had to be rushed to Ninewells Hospital following the assault.
A police statement said: “Police Scotland is following positive lines of inquiry after a serious assault which happened at Dundonald Street, Dundee yesterday at 3.45pm.
“A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are not life threatening.
“Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them on 101 quoting ref CR/11984.”
