Police descend on Dundee city centre in hunt for wanted man

Police descended on Dundee city centre on Friday afternoon as they searched for a man wanted in connection with drugs offences.

Several police cars were stationed on roads around the Wellgate Centre and police dogs were also brought in to assist with the search.

One witness on King Street said: “I saw a couple of police cars and an unmarked police car.

“There was a dog van too. It looked like they were searching for someone.”

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said: “Officers are looking to trace a man wanted in connection with drugs offences.”
