The man’s injuries are described as serious but are not life-threatening.

The road partially reopened just after 10am but police remain at the scene.
A 31-year-old woman who lives nearby said: “There are issues on the street and the police are here quite a lot but I was surprised when I looked out and saw the cordon.
“My car was inside the closed section of the road. I asked police what had happened and when I could get my vehicle out at around 9.30am.
“They couldn’t tell me much about the incident but said the cordon closing the road would be in place for at least another hour.”
One other woman, who has lived in the area for more than 20 years, says she became aware of police being in the area at around 6am.
She said: “Police were standing at the close next to mine when I looked out, then I saw the cordon in place.
