Image: Google Maps A police investigation has been launched after a bicycle-riding thief ransacked a Dundee business. Officers said “considerable damage” was caused to a premises on Fairmuir Street on Saturday morning. The masked suspect stole a quantity of cash and a number of other items during the incident. Shorty after 4am the male fled the scene on a Carrera bike towards the Kirkton area of the city. The male is described as white, of average height and was wearing dark clothing during the break-in. PC Andrew McIlvenny said they’re appealing to the public for any private CCTV which may assist them with their inquiries. He said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious and may have information that could assist with our enquiries to get in touch. “In addition, anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation is also asked to contact us.” Anyone with any information regarding the incident is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
