A man has been arrested after a car crashed into parked vehicles on a Dundee street.
Police blocked off a section of Blackness Avenue in the West End after the incident just after 9.30am on Monday.
The man has also been taken to hospital for treatment and officers are continuing to probe the crash.
One resident on the street said: “There was a huge screech and a crash.
“It was loud enough for the whole street to hear – everyone came rushing out.
“Then one guy came in – I don’t know if he was the driver or passenger – and collapsed at the bottom the stairs.
“I’m a student nurse so I helped him while someone else called an ambulance.”
One onlooker said the street was shut between Shaftesbury Road and Shaftesbury Terrace.
She said: “There are four police vehicles here with flashing lights.
“The cops are speaking to a group of young people by the side of the road.
“The front of a silver Audi is pretty badly bashed up and the back of a Golf has taking a battering as well.”
A woman who works on Blackness Avenue said she heard sirens and “a bit of a commotion”.
She added: “I normally drive down Blackness Avenue to work so I had to go the long way around by Peddie Street.
“This is very unusual, I’ve not seen a crash on this street before.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 9.35am on Monday, we received a report that a car had crashed into three parked vehicles.
“A 27-year-old man has been arrested and he has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
