Season ticket holders queued up on Saturday morning, while there were more queues on Sunday when general tickets went on sale. Long-time fan Jim Watson, 64, said on Sunday: “I queued up from about 9.15am. “I think it’s important that fans turn out. If we get promoted we’ll get bigger teams coming – it’s all about money at the end of the day, isn’t it?” Gary Hume, 50, said he is optimistic about United’s chances. He said: “They’ve got the fight right and seem to want it. That’s a good sign.” The club is laying in six buses for fans for the second leg of the tie in Hamilton on Saturday.
