A minibus has been destroyed by ‘ferocious fire’ on a Dundee street.
Residents were told to take cover after firefighters and police descended on Balgowan Avenue shortly after 4.30am on Tuesday.
One local resident, who did not wish to be named, said she was told by police to get to the rear of her house during the blaze.
She said: “The first thing we knew was, the horn was going off and then we saw the fire.
“It was a ferocious fire, you could feel the heat coming off of it.
“Thankfully no one has been injured but there were loads of explosions before the firefighters extinguished the blaze.
“Police told us to get to the rear of our house until it was brought under control.
“Officers have remained in the area and were doing door-to-door inquires but it’s unclear whether it’s been electrical fault or deliberate at this stage.”
