A 48-year-old woman was hit in the face with a traffic cone after attending last week’s play-off match against Hamilton Academical.
The Dundee United fan was left with bruising after someone threw the cone following the conclusion of Thursday night’s game.
Police Scotland is now investigating the incident, which occurred around 10pm.
A Force spokesman said: “Police Scotland has reviewed the circumstances of the disorder outside Tannadice Stadium last Thursday night, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“It is understood a traffic cone was thrown towards Tannadice Street, striking a 48-year-old woman in the face. She was treated for facial injuries at the stadium and then at Ninewells Hospital.
“The incident happened shortly after full-time in the match between Dundee United and Hamilton Academical, at about 10pm.
“Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Tayside Division on 101 quoting CR/13440/17 or speak to any Police officer.
“Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
