Police have launched an investigation after two cars were stolen and set on fire in a Dundee park.
Residents reported hearing vehicles “screeching” in the area around Caird Park before the blaze early on Tuesday.
The cars were left on open ground just off Old Glamis Road.

One woman who lives nearby said: “We were hearing the cars screeching up and down all night, then heard a noise at around 3.30am.
“You could definitely hear a couple of cars.”
Vehicles have previously been driven into the park and set on fire.
‘What’s the point?’
Another resident said: “There was another fire just along the road not long ago and you think – what’s the point?
“They’re coming along at a silly time of night, making a noise, and then starting these fires and you just don’t understand what their reasoning for it is.”
