An all-day party kicks off in Dundee this weekend to celebrate 30 years of acid and techno music.
Organised by Dundee’s Dirty as Funk and Glasgow’s Squelch, almost 200 ravers will descend on Mains Castle for the event, which will run from 1pm on Saturday until 1am.
Originally scheduled to be held in a pub, it had to be moved to a bigger venue to accommodate techno-loving fans who were snapping up tickets.
Organiser Joanne Fox said: “There’s never been an event like this. We will have artists producing live techno as well as DJ sets with around 20 acts in total.
“I’m blown away by the response we have had to be honest. There are folk coming up from all over the UK to attend it so I’m really pleased.
“Techno is a pretty underground scene so I didn’t even think it would sell out.
“But seeing it take off has been amazing.”
Some of the UK’s best known underground and free party DJs will grace the two stages, the Acid Castle, and Techno Tent.
