The ‘Come and Try’ sports day set for Slessor Gardens has been forced indoors after forecasters predicted heavy weekend rain.
Leisure & Culture Dundee’s free Festival of Sport ‘Come and Try Day’ which runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday June 10 will be relocated indoor to Dundee International Sports Complex (DISC).
The sports hall and gymnasium will be transformed into a multi-sports arena and will showcase the wide range of activities and sports the organisation runs across the city.
Those attending will get a shot at activities including a Ninja assault course, golf, hockey, archery taster sessions as well as many others.
Visitors will be able to unleash their hidden warrior with the chance to be crowned Dundee’s Ninja Champion on a specially adapted Ninja Assault Course.
Based on the Ninja values of strength, balance, upper body power and determination, participants can attempt the course in a test of stamina, against the clock.
There will be plenty of staff on hand to help with the activities and provide information on where those interested can take part on a regular basis.
The ‘Come and Try Day’ kicks off a Festival of Sport this summer in the city where there are multiple special deals and opportunities to get involved in leisure and sport activities.
