Police are hunting for a racist thug who spat in someone’s face during an unprovoked assault on the city’s Hawkhill on Saturday evening.
A Spanish man was spat on before being racially abused by a man at a bus stop close to Tesco and the Marco Polo take-away restaurant, at around 7.10pm.
Police are looking to speak to a man described as being in his early twenties who was standing at the bus stop with two other males.
He is said to be around 5ft 9in tall, of medium build with short brown hair and was wearing a red top at the time of the attack.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Not only were his actions particularly disgusting, he then subjected the victim to verbal racist abuse.
