These photographs show the moment a huge oil rig made its way up the River Tay to arrive in the Port of Dundee last night. The Rowan V was carried to the shores of the city by the Havila Mercury, which acted as the lead towing vessel assisted by tugs Crammond, Kitiwake, Strathdee and Strathdon. It comes as business leaders predicted an economic boom in Tayside and Fife off the back of oil and gas decommissioning work.
