Plans to create Dundee’s first hydrotherapy centre for dogs have been withdrawn.
HydroPetz had applied to open the facility on Dundee’s Fairbairn Street back in May.
If the proposals had been granted, the facility would allow dogs to undergo water-based therapy for a number of conditions.
The application, lodged by Vikki Culley, would have seen the creation of one above-ground, heated composite hydrotherapy pool.
Hydrotherapy has been a common treatment for horses for a number of centuries and has gradually grown in popularity for dogs.
Applicant, Ms Culley has also expressed an interest moving forward of introducing other forms of alternative non-invasive therapy such as acupuncture, reiki and massage.
She hoped to create a holistic centre for pets similar to the purpose of a spa for humans.
Dundee City Council have now however that the plans have been withdrawn.
