A man made off with a wheelie bin full of property from a sheltered housing complex in Dundee yesterday morning.
The man forced entry to the Martingale Gardens complex at around 5.15am on the morning of Monday July 10 and removed a number of items from communal areas.
He is then believed to have taken a white workman’s hard hat which he wore in order to appear as a legitimate worker and filled one or two wheelie bins full of the stolen goods before making off down Victoria Road.
Police are appealing for help in tracing the culprit, who is described as in his 20s, of mixed race appearance, and wearing a pale green hooded top.
A police spokesperson said: “Although this happened quite early in the day, a number of persons were still on Victoria Road at this time of day, and if he did indeed leave in this direction he would have been seen by pedestrians and motorists.
