Above average temperatures and all-day sunshine are set to hit Courier country today and tomorrow, according to the Met Office.
Tayside and Fife are set to get some of the best weather in Scotland today as unadulterated sunshine and temperatures of up to 23C arrive on the east coast.
Areas in the west of the country today will see lower temperatures of around 19C.
Temperatures in the east will drop slightly into tomorrow but the sun’s rays will still be out in full force.
Filotaf Paschos, a Met Office meteorologist based in Aberdeen, said: “The temperatures, though not sky high, will be above the average of 18/19C for this time of year.
“There will be a great deal of sunshine across the country at the start of the week but as the week progresses, it will get more rainy with temperatures dropping to 15C by Wednesday.
“It’s difficult to predict what the weekend weather will be like at this stage but at the moment it’s looking like cloud and possibly rain.”
