Forecasters have warned that Tayside and Fife could be hit by thunderstorms and heavy rain, which may bring flooding.
The Met Office placed a yellow warning across the regions as storms move into Scotland from down south, following two days of glorious sunshine.
“Localised flooding”could hit homes, businesses and roads, along with power outages caused by lightning strikes.
However the worst of the weather is due in England and Wales.
The warning for Tayside and Fife will be in effect until 11.55pm.
A statement from the Met Office said: “Further, possibly severe, thunderstorms may break out again this afternoon and evening, probably focused over parts of northeast Wales, central and northern England.
“Some heavy, thundery rain may also spread into parts of southwest Scotland by this evening although the risk of disruption is lower here than further south.
“Although some places will miss the thunderstorms, there is a chance of localised sudden flooding of homes, businesses and roads.
“Frequent lightning and large hail may be additional hazards, the latter bringing potential for disruption to power networks.”
Yesterday the Met Office said there is a chance of rain hitting Dundee’s Olly Murs gig tomorrow evening.
