The first tower for the wakeboarding centre being created at Dundee City Quay has now been installed. Operators Foxlake Adventures said the second tower will be erected on Thursday. Work on the site started in late May and it is expected the centre will be open for business before the end of summer. Wakeboarding is similar to water-skiing but the wakeboarder stands on a single board instead of a pair of skis when being pulled across the water. Wakeboards are either pulled by a boat or, as will happen in Dundee, by using motorised cables.
