A 31-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a 52-year-old woman at a Dundee beauty spot.
The woman, who suffered a serious head injury as a result of the assault at Templeton Woods, remains in hospital receiving treatment.
The man is due to appear in court tomorrow at Dundee Sheriff Court.
There was a large police presence at Templeton Woods following the incident, which took place at around 1.10pm yesterday (Monday).
Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Templeton Woods between 12.30pm and 2.30pm yesterday and are appealing for them to come forward to assist with enquiries.
