Fire fighters were called to the outskirts of Dundee after a blaze broke out on a field. It was reported that grass and gorse bushes were on fire just off Pitempton Road, with thick smoke rising high above the field. The incident happened at around 5.20pm, with one hose-reel deployed. No injuries or significant damage were reported and the fire was said to have been extinguished quickly.
