Dundee will take part in the 20-year anniversary of a date famous among film fans tomorrow.
In the Terminator universe August 29 1997 was “Judgement Day” – or the day the machines of Skynet rose up against humanity and kick started a nuclear war.
And now Dundee film buffs will be able to enjoy Terminator 2: Judgement Day in 3D after director James Cameron converted the classic to the format to coincide with the date.

The 1991 film is considered by many to be the best in the film franchise, and one of the greatest blockbusters of all time.
The sequel to the 1984 original stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the eponymous cyborg, who time travels to the past to protect humanity’s future leader, John Conner, from Robert Patrick’s merciless T-1000.
T2 will be shown at Dundee’s Cineworld at Camperdown Leisure Park on Tuesday at 7.30pm on the venue’s biggest screen – and tickets are still up for grabs.
The 3D version aims to take the action film to “the next level of effects and into the 21st century for the next generation of fans”.
Cinemas across the wider UK are also screening the movie.
