Scotland fans in good spirits out and about in Vilnius.
The Tartan Army were out in force in Vilnius today, with many wondering how on earth they were going to fill the hours to kick-off time.
Fans from across Courier Country are soaking up the atmosphere (and beer) in Vilnius ahead of Friday night’s crunch match.
The match against Lithuania at the LFF Stadium doesn’t start until a rather challenging 9.45 pm local time but the beer was already flowing.
Indeed, the Scotland supporters quickly filled bars and cafes across the old town area.
A popular spot was the large square in front of the imposing Vilniaus Rotuse building.
Enjoying the sights and sounds were the foot soldiers from Jailer Tours of Perth.
Asked for a score prediction for what is a must-win match for Gordon Strachan’s men, Ronnie Hutcheson of Perth said: “I think it will be 2-0 to us and I’m pretty confident.”
The slightly more cautious Andy English, also from Perth, added: “I’m hopeful of a result but I fear that the plastic pitch is bound to be a factor.”
A short walk away could be found the imposing banner from the Rampant Lions of the Black Watch Club in Dundee, which was guarded by 14-year-old Blair from the city, while flags from Kirkcaldy and elsewhere in Courier Country were also flying proudly.
