A man was robbed in the early hours of Monday morning by two men at a city centre cash machine.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked as he withdrew money from the ATM on the corner of Courthouse Square and Ward Road at around 2.30am.
The victim was punched in the head by two men, who then stole his money and ran away in the direction of West Marketgait.
The first suspect is described as being 5 foot 10 inches tall, white, of heavy build with short dark hair and in his mid twenties. He was said to be wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans and light coloured trainers.
The second is described as being 6 foot, white, of slim build with short dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a khaki green t-shirt with a logo on it, jeans and white Nike trainers.
Both spoke with local accents and believed to have been in the Balcony Bar immediately before the incident.
Although shaken by the incident, the victim is said to have been unhurt.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Although in the early hours of the morning, this ATM is widely used by people on nights out in the city centre, and it is hoped that persons who had been out and about in the town at the time may have seen the incident, or at least seen the suspects run off.
