Traffic was slowed on the main carriageway toward Perth on Wednesday afternoon following a two vehicle smash.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision close to the BP petrol station on the west-bound stretch of the A90 just after 1.30pm.
Police, fire brigade and ambulance officers all attended the scene.
A Lexus hit a lamppost on the busy road by the Invergowrie turn off and a Volkswagon Touareg also appears to have been involved.
One person suffered minor injuries in the incident and is understood to have been treated for shock.
It is further understood that police are not treating the incident as serious and the road was kept open although a single lane was closed at the time.
