Putts were sunk and thousands of pounds were raised at an annual charity golf event in aid of a city landmark.
Golfing professionals teamed up with keen amateurs at Downfield Golf Club in the Discovery Pro-Am event.
Now in its second year, the competition raises money for the city’s historic ship, the RRS Discovery.
Event organisers are still collating the final figure from the event, but believe more than £3,000 will be handed over to Dundee Heritage Trust.
There were two competition formats on the day – an 18-hole strokeplay professional individual event and a team event, which combined the
best two nett scores being put forward.
Rules dictated male players could only enter with a handicap maximum of 18, while ladies could only enter if their handicap was lower than 24.
Leading the way representing the professionals were Gareth Wright and Paul O’Hara with a score of 69 and Alastair Forsyth and Graham Fox, who notched up a round of 70.
The winning team were the GS Group, who scored an incredibly low combined score of 131.
The longest drive from the tee was hit by Jonathan Reid from J&E Shepherd.
Winner of the nearest the pin competition was George Finlay from the Market.
Organiser Craig Simpson said: “The Discovery Pro-Am was a great event that was really well supported by the local and business community.
“We are still finalising the total raised, which should be north of £3,000.”
He also extended thanks to the hole sponsors:
