Gordon Diduca, also known as Gordon Adams, died after allegedly being shot with a bow at Dundonald Court, Arklay Street, on Sunday at about 11.45pm.
Roads were closed off around the scene yesterday with forensics teams scouring the area for evidence.
Though the roads have reopened, officers remain on scene carrying out an investigation into Mr Diduca’s death.
It is believed he was injured with an arrow understood to have been fired from a crossbow.
Yesterday Tayside Police Division said they are following a “positive line of inquiry”.
The force added: “Police Scotland can confirm that a man has died following a disturbance at Dundonald Court in Dundee yesterday (Sunday 24 September) at around 11.45pm.
“The death is being treated as suspicious and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
