A Polish national with a history of violent crime has been found guilty of murdering Dundee couple Ronald (Ronnie) Kidd and Holly Alexander. It took a jury of 10 men and five women just 40 minutes to find Krysztof Gadecki guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh. Gadecki, 38, showed no emotion as the verdict was read out. He had admitted killing Mr Kidd, 40, and mother of three Ms Alexander, 37, in December last year but claimed he had done so in self defence. The court was told that Gadecki had been convicted of robbery and rape in Poland and was jailed for eight years. Krzysztof Gadecki. He was also convicted of fraud. Gadecki was paroled in 2009 and moved to the UK for the first time. The Home Office attempted to deport him in 2015 but he appealed against their decision, which allowed him to remain at liberty.
