Emergency services attended the busy junction after the lights were hit by the silver Skoda. The Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland all attended the scene. A police spokesperson confirmed: “We got the call at four minutes past three this afternoon. “An elderly female driver struck a set of lights at the Claypotts Junction. “The lights are currently out and we are trying to get this rectified. “Vehicle recovery has been arranged. “This is a medical matter for the lady (driver) and the Scottish Ambulance Service attended to her.” A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed they attended a one car crash and “assisted, but were not required”.
