An elderly man discovered in a Dundee street in the early hours of Saturday morning has died.
Officers from Police Scotland taped off a section of Hyndmarsh Avenue, close to Tannadice stadium, after reports of a man seen on the ground just before 6am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the gentleman’s passing, but as with all sudden deaths a report has been filed with the procurator fiscal.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We received a call to attend Hyndmarsh Avenue at 5.52am on Saturday October 21.
”An elderly male was discovered at the scene.
”There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
”Officers have now left the scene and the road is now fully open.”
