Drivers are being reminded there will be severe delays on the Kingsway this weekend.
Heavy congestion has been reported between the Dundee and Angus College building and the Kingsway retail park.
A section of the westbound carriageway on the Kingsway, between the Clepington and Liff junctions has been shut since Friday evening to allow for resurfacing works.
A contraflow on to the eastbound side of the road is in place, but the westbound road is not due to open again until 6.30am on Monday.
Slip roads from Liff and Coupar Angus junctions – near the Dundee Ice Arena – are closed during this time also.
A series of sign-posted diversions will guide drivers who normally use the slip roads at Liff and Coupar Angus junctions to their destination.
