A thief broke into a Dundee supermarket and made off with items worth almost £200 on Thursday morning.
Night shift workers are said to have been inside Asda’s Myrekirk Road store when a man forced his way in and took £174 worth of stock at about 3.25am.
Though the stolen items were recovered, police are still seeking the thief.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended a supermarket in Myrekirk Road, Dundee, about 3.25am this morning after a report of a man having gained entry to the rear of the store and stolen items.
“CCTV is being studied and a positive line of enquiry is being followed.”
An Asda spokeswoman said: “We’re assisting police with their inquiries following an incident at the store and would like to reassure customers that we’re open and trading as normal.”
