Seven showings of Star Wars: The Last Jedi took place at the Cineworld at Camperdown Leisure Park. Others were taking place at the Odeon at Douglasfield, the Perth Playhouse and across Fife and Angus. A large number of fans queuing up inside the Dundee Cineworld ahead of the late night screenings. Locals dressed up as Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and even the Wampa from The Empire Strikes Back for the occasion. A Star Wars fan dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson, has received rave reviews from critics.
