A man was punched in the face in Dundee city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim was attacked by another man on Dundee High Street, outside St Paul’s Cathedral, at around 3am on January 21.
The assailant punched the complainer in the face, knocking him to the ground, before running off in the direction of the Overgate Shopping Centre with the rest of his group, who numbered around 5 or 6.
The victim was then assisted by his friends and members of the public before being taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for help in tracing a male described as 18-24 years of age, about 5ft 11 and slim build, with dark hair shaved at the sides and longer on top, wearing a black North Face puffa-style jacket.
The area would have been busy at the time with people leaving clubs in the Seagate.
Anyone who has any information is asked to call 101 or speak with any police officer.
