Police have launched an investigation after being called to a disturbance at a Dundee school.
Officers responded to concerns at the secondary on Tuesday and confirmed it was an “ongoing” incident at the time of the report.
It is understood the call-out involved a male child but no pupils or staff are believed to have been harmed.
A spokesman for the force confirmed officers are investigating the incident but was unable to give any further details.
He said: “Police Scotland can confirm that it attended a school in Dundee on Tuesday in response to an ongoing disturbance.
“The incident was resolved with no wider risk to pupils or staff.”
A source close to the school claimed as many as eight police officers were sent to the scene and said pupils and staff were left shaken by the incident.
A spokeswoman for Dundee City Council said: “The appropriate steps have been taken.”
