Thieves who broke into a Dundee building on Thursday morning were scared off by the alarm before they could steal anything.
Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to the break-in, which occurred around 4.30am.
Two men cut through a padlock chain to gain access to a secure yard in Pitalpin Court.
They then forced a door to gain access to the building. However, this triggered the alarm which scared the would-be thieves away.
Police said they want to trace two men in connection with the incident.
The first is described as white, about 6ft tall and of stocky build. he was wearing dark trousers and shoes, a dark body warmer-type jacket with a lighter long-sleeved top underneath.
His accomplice was white, about 5ft 10, and of slim build. He was wearing all dark clothing, including a knee-length Puffa-type jacket, a black tammy and a hood.
