A 27-year-old man has been arrested following reports of a sexual assault in a Broughty Ferry park.
Officers were called to the scene in Orchar Park in the early hours of Saturday morning and were seen setting up a cordon around a grassy area from around 8am.
Specialists carried out investigations on at least three areas of forensic interest on throughout the morning, with an incident tent erected by the afternoon.
Police had left the scene by Sunday morning but faced criticism after failing to keep local residents informed.
A spokesman for the force said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault which happened on Saturday in Orchar Park, Broughty Ferry.
