The Hoops star is alleged to have been driving his Mercedes AMG C63 at 62mph on Dundee’s Kingsway on June 3 last year. The limit is 50mph. The case against Griffiths called at Dundee Justice of the Peace court. He spoke only to confirm his name before his solicitor Peter Malone told the court Griffiths was maintaining his not guilty plea. Fiscal depute Laura Bruce said the Crown were ready to go to trial. Griffiths was ordered to return to the JP court for his trial on February 26.
