A section of the main road leading east from Dundee was closed on Tuesday night after severe flooding. A section of the A92 at Monifieth was closed for several hours to allow a tanker to clear water from the road at Ardestie Toll. The section had been limited to one lane eastbound before police took the step to fully close the stretch. A spokesperson for the Tayside division of Police Scotland said: “The public are advised to avoid this road if possible and use an alternative route.”
