Dundee East girls U11’s played Vancouver side Albion FC at Whitton Park 3G pitch at Arbroath Road in a competitive game. The young Canadians were invited to the city after a tournament they were scheduled to take part in Glasgow was cancelled. Craig Feret, Dundee East football officer, said: “It is always great to build links with other clubs across the world. We were delighted to help out.” Meanwhile, a 2007 Dundee East boys’ performance team will play a Canadian side on Friday. “It has been great for all the kids to get some game time and a really rewarding experience for players and coaches alike,” Craig added.
