From egg-rolling on Dundee’s most prominent hill to hunts on the grounds of historic castles – a number of great events are being held across Tayside and Fife to mark the Easter weekend.
We’ve complied a list of some of the fun things taking place across Courier Country in the coming days.
Dundee
Saturday, March 31:
Messy Easter Extravaganza
Easter Crafts, songs, movies, games, egg hunt and festive food. Location: The Brook, 343 Brook Street, Broughty Ferry.
Sunday, April 1:
Easter Wildlife Fun
Camperdown Wildlife Centre is offering families the chance to learn more about its animals whilst also embracing the Easter spirit. You’ll be able to bring a picnic and roll eggs. The event runs from 10am – 4pm.
Easter Fun Day 2018
There will be an Easter egg hunt, radio roadshow, park lives events, a funfair, and hot food and drink stalls. Bus services will be available from the city centre to the venue at Camperdown Park. Runs from noon – 4pm.
Easter Funday
A chance to paint and roll eggs down Dundee’s Law. A competition will also be held to award the best decorated egg. A nature trial will be in place and refreshments on offer. Location: Meadow just above Law Road car park. Starts 1pm.
Angus
Easter at Forbes of Kingennie:
A two day Easter event is being held at Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort (10am- 3pm daily). Children’s activities include a chocolate Easter egg hunt in the Angus Thistle Maze and face-painting.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts:
House of Dun (11.30am – 3.30pm – Good Friday until Easter Monday)
Barry Mill (11am – 4pm daily – Easter Sunday and Monday)
Easter Weekend at Glamis Castle
It will be free entry to the garden and grounds across the weekend. Events include “have a go” Highland Games, a mini Easter market, a cupcake hunt and a chance to meet the Easter bunny.

Caledonian Railway Easter Eggspress
A number of Easter events will be held on the Brechin railway, with all passengers receiving a chocolate treat.

Easter Sunday Fun Day at Brechin Castle Centre.
There will be animals from the Mini Zoo Man, falconry handling events and the chance to meet alpacas and llamas. There will also be stalls and face-painting. Runs from 10am – 6pm.
Crombie Country Park Easter trail
The park is holding hunts for “low calorie healthy” Easter eggs from Good Friday until Monday, April 16. Booking is essential.
Perth and Kinross
Museum Easter Egg Hunt at the Black Watch Museum.
Runs from 9.30am until 4.30pm.

A Celtic Spring – The Crannog Centre comes to life.
The settlement at the Scottish Crannog Centre, Kenmore, will “spring” to life for the 2018 season on Easter Sunday with a packed day showcasing life in the Iron Age. Event runs from 10am.
Easter Sunday Pirate Funday
Scone Palace is hosting a swash-buckling day of events. Runs from 12pm – 4pm.
Easter Monday Dinosaur Egg Hunt at Perth Museum and Art Gallery.
Runs from 12.30pm until 2.30pm.
Fife
Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts will take place at the following locations:
Culross Palace (Good Friday – Easter Monday 11am – 4pm)
Hill of Tarvit House (Good Friday – Easter Monday 11am – 4pm)
Kellie Castle (Good Friday – Easter Monday 11am – 4pm)
Falkland Palace (Good Friday – Easter Sunday noon – 4pm)
Easter at the Museum:
Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum, Dunfermline, will host a number of Easter events.

Easter Eggsplorer Trails will be held at the following locations:
St Andrews Castle (Good Friday – Easter Monday starting 9.30am)
Aberdour Castle (Good Friday – Easter Monday starting 9.30am)
Easter activities at The Scottish Deer Centre:
A number of fun activities will take place around the park. On Easter Sunday an egg hunt will take place at 12.30pm.
Easter extravaganza
St Andrews Aquarium is holding an Easter Extravaganza from Saturday, March 31 right up until April 15. Animal talks and reptile handling events will be held every day. There will also be daily Easter egg hunt competitions.
Land train returns to St Andrews
The LocalMotion Land Train will return to St Andrews on Easter Sunday.
